I LOVE this time of year. My little sweeties are becoming independent thinkers and learners who have blossomed into readers and writers AND all of my Favorite units are in the Spring!! Just how BIG is a walrus anyway?
How big is a walrus? We read that a walrus can grow to be up to 12 feet long and that his tusks can be 3 feet long. The kids weren't quite as impressed by this info. as I was so I decided that we should make a life size walrus so that they could see just how BIG that actually is.
