Walruses, Literacy Centers and Guided Reading, oh, my!
We made these adorable walruses from my Arctic Animals unit today. I love how they all turned out so unique. Our penguins are still fishing on our bulletin board so the herd of walruses won't be hung up until next week when we use them to decorate our polar bears and walruses venn diagram. Mental Images and Zoo
This is the lesson that I posted about last year. We will be doing it this week so I thought I'd go ahead and post it again. Insects Eric Carle style!
We read Eric Carle's series of insect books and then we made our own Eric Carle inspired insects. This is what we started with. The papers were made by painting with bubble wrap, sponges, circle paint brushes and those soft body wash thingies. (not the technical term...but shoot! I can't remember what they're called.
