Deedee and I have created both Math and Writing units together and now we’ve rounded it out with our newest units, Guiding Readers ELA for K-1. We are so excited to have the final piece of our lesson planning done for us. Now all we have to do is PRINT and TEACH! Just like with our math and writing units we have done all of the work for you.
*Each day we take the comprehension a little deeper and deploy various comprehension strategies. *Each day the students will respond to the text (either on a single page or in their notebooks.. depending on how you have your class organized).
*Each day interactive writing will be used to strengthen those writing mechanics!!!!
*Each day students will have focused word study
*Each day students will practice phonemic awareness skills
*Each week students will explore the meaning of 2 vocabulary words that are taken right from the text!
